Clean Water, Bathing, Personal Hygiene & Laundry Program
Many of the areas where our children reside don’t have any facility to obtain clean water. Our children have to walk long distances to collect water for them. Because they do not have access to clean running water and soap, the children don’t wash their hands or their bodies. The children are given an orientation on the importance of personal hygiene, how to use the toilet and brush their teeth. Our team shows them how to maintain a healthy lifestyle in a very practical way. Also the children are taught how to wash their clothes
Our water and sanitation programs also include the construction of effective clean water systems and hand-washing stations, and providing latrines and sanitation workshops, among other initiatives. These programs not only reduce waterborne diseases, but they rid children of their long, daily treks to collect water, enabling them to go to school. >>> Back
