The work of TejasAsia in India is very important. Our Christian faith is built upon the story of the love of our Saviour Jesus, who laid down His kingly life to walk with us and identify with our everyday struggles, both natural and spiritual. To neglect one at the expense of the other is to separate what God Himself considers the one thing: James 1:27 (NIV) Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Marlo & Sheril have given their lives to make a difference. Their organisation works with children who, by no fault of their own, are in dire need. The statistics regarding the amount of children in this situation are staggering. While others may turn their heads and forget these precious lives, our God would encourage us to remember them. TejasAsia is reaching out to these children in a number of real ways. I wholeheartedly encourage you also to rise up and make a difference in our generation by working to end poverty. You can support this organization personally by giving financial support, volunteering, and prayer. Your church could together remember this work in prayer, sponsor a project, or send short-term teams to help on the ground. Spread the word that there is need in India! We will continue to support the work of TejasAsia with prayer, and, like every other Western blessed Christian family and church, we must continue to stretch ourselves to give in every way we can to those who need it, in other parts of the world.
